The purpose of the summit is to dispel the myths of ageism and the Department’s involvement in elder rights in Florida; inform participants on how to help elders in discrimination issues involving housing, employment and public accommodations; and showcase the viability (physical and mental capabilities) of seniors and their benefits to Florida’s communities in the workforce and involvement in civic engagement activities.BODY
ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by May 18th, 2009. The registration fee is $6.00 and includes lunch.
