Lat.: trifling. Of insufficient significance to warrant judicial attention. DE MINIMIS NON CURAT LEX: Lat.: the law does not care for small things; the law does not bother with trifles.
EXAMPLE: Cy is arrested for possession of one marijuana cigarette.
