A public employee or officer having access to the photograph, name or address of a person alleged to be a victim of an offense described in this chapter (sexual battery), chapter 800 (lewdness, indecent exposure), s. 827.03 (aggravated child abuse), s. 827.04 (child abuse), or s. 827.071 (sexual performance by a child) may not willfully and knowingly disclose it to a person not assisting in the investigation or prosecution of the alleged offense or to any person other than the defendant, the defendant’s attorney, a person specified in a court order entered by the court having jurisdiction over the alleged offense, to organizations authorized to receive such information made exempt by s. 119.071(2)(h), or to a rape crisis center or sexual assault counselor who will be offering services to the victim. It is unlawful to print, publish, or broadcast or cause or allow to be printed, published or broadcast in any instrument of mass communication the name, address or other identifying fact or information of the victim of any sexual offense.
